With a degree in Geography and a master’s degree in International Cooperation at Sapienza University. Mario Michelini has carried out studies and research on indigenous issues in Africa and South America, making several publications and documentary films. He has worked in rural communities with NGOs and international agencies covering important roles with particular interest in the Arab world, where he has lived and worked for over ten years. From 2013 to 2015 he lived and worked in the Gaza Strip, where in addition to development projects he was responsible for coordinating the humanitarian response of Oxfam to the 2014 conflict.
For Esplorare la Metropoli he has been involved in research and writing projects. Is the author of the documentary The Well, Water Voices from Ethiopia. Realized in Ethiopia in the area of Moyale, where Mario worked on behalf of the NGO Lvia focused on development projects with the pastoral communities.
